😕 I’m sorry to report that the Castlewellan Spring Cup event has been postponed – new date to be confirmed. 👍A big thank you Michael Murphy for planning the 4 courses – these will be ready when we can get a full volunteer team together – with the Slieve Croob Champs and the Drumkeeragh NICS, I think we tried to fit in too many events in the South Down area in last few weeks which has overstretched our volunteer workforce. A massive GOOD LUCK to all out JK relay teams – and as if that’s not enough, we have 4 juniors running in Irish Junior Squad teams too. What a way to round out 4 days of Easter competition. Olivia will be looking after the teams on the weekend itself – seek her out, claim your bib, check for any team changes etc etc 🙂

📍Just a reminder that the club AGM will be taking place tomorrow at Gosford Forest Park. The NISeries event at Drumkeeragh next week is the first colour event of the year and thus kicks off the hCOW calculations. Last year’s finishing handicaps are brought forward so that your performance can be used to adjust your handicap rather than set it. The initial handicaps can be seen in the hCOW2024 folder (on the home page at “STANDINGS” click on “hCow” then “hCOW2024”). The names highlighted are presently lapsed members so although their performances, should they take part, won’t contribute to the scores they will be held for retrospective application should a membership renewal turn up later.
