Colour Standards Update

The colour standards table has been updated with the results from Meelmore, Tollymore and Divis. Your colour achievement shown in the on-line event results doesn’t necessarily match the NI colour award criteria in that 1. there is no gender separation and 2. in club events the times of those who normally run Brown or Blue are ignored for the setting of the standard time. Thus you may have unexpectedly achieved the standard in some of those events; against that the paucity of events this year means that more results have dropped out of the one-year window than have entered it Read More …

2019 Accounts

To help keep this year’s AGM as brief as possible, I won’t be going through the Club Accounts or the Treasurer’s Report in detail. If you would like to read the report, which includes the Balance Sheet and Income and Expenditure Account, you can find it online now. I’ll be happy to answer any questions you might have. Nominations for Steve McGibbon Trophy

This is just a reminder to send me any nominations for the Steve McGibbon Trophy, details here. For this award, the club membership votes for the person or group who provided the most outstanding contribution to the club’s affairs in the previous year. LVO AGM 2020

We cancelled our AGM in March as COVID-19 restrictions were about to be imposed. We hoped that we would soon be able to have an alternative but unfortunately that hasn’t been the case, so we’re going ahead with an abbreviated Virtual AGM on Zoom on Wednesday 7th October at 7:30pm. The NIOA Virtual AGM recently worked pretty well – we promise ours will be brief, informative and you might even end up winning an award! New this year are awards + vouchers for novice and expert Planner and Controller of the year 2019. This was an excellent suggestion by Philip Read More …

Meelmore Maprun Trial

As Queen Steph has mentioned, we would like to carry out a trial of MaprunF/G alongside our event at Meelmore this Saturday. It won’t interrupt any of your runs. The main event is all SI Air ( proper O!! ). All we would like is for quite a few of you to take your phones or Garmin watches around with you as well, so that we can see how well Maprun works in this environment. I know how good the map is, but what we want to see is what sort of tolerance we can get away with on a Read More …
