🚀 Teens & Tweens Takes Off in Tollymore! 🌟

Today we kicked off our 12-week Teens & Tweens program in style — in beautiful Tollymore Forest. This week, our 9–12 year olds got hands-on coaching with two key orienteering skills: setting/orientating the map and cutting corners — learning when to take the direct route and when it’s smarter to go the long way around via paths. They’re already building the confidence and techniques they need to tackle light green courses like pros. Next week we’re learning all about compasses so that we can go in the right direction and straight as possible. We can’t wait!

Tables Updated with Portstewart results

The NISeries, Colour Standards and hCOW tables have been updated following the NWOC event at Portstewart Sand Dunes last Saturday. You will find them on the website’s Public OneDrive. With 3 colour events left in the year and a certain number to count in each category (4 in NISeries, 3 in Colour Standards and 5 in hCOW) you need to carefully decide which courses you wish to run to count in the final analyses.

🚨 Help Needed – Mourne Mountain Marathon 🏃‍♂️⛰️

The Mourne Mountain Marathon is just around the corner, and they need some help to keep things running smoothly! 🟢 Can you help with marshalling on Saturday or Sunday?🟡 Or lend a hand collecting controls on Sunday afternoon? Even a couple of hours of your time would be hugely appreciated — plus it’s a great way to be part of the action if you’re not competing! Message Mark Pruzina at mmmadmin@mourne2day.com if you’re available. Thanks in advance, and see you in the Mournes!
