L❀ve Parks Week!

Mid and East Antrim BC have partnered with Lagan Valley Orienteers to celebrate Love Parks Week! We have a mini-series of 3 events across the week exploring 3 of the beautiful green spaces MEA has to offer. At each event you will receive a limited-edition sticker of that place, specially designed by @SashaFergArt for these events! Collect all 3! Orienteering is about finding your way around a course between checkpoints using a map. The beauty of this is that there is something to suit everyone, and you can complete it in your own time and at your own pace. The Read More …

Be Bug Aware! πŸ™πŸ•·πŸ¦Ÿ

Although July is traditionally a rest month for organised Orienteering activity, hopefully you are able to get out and enjoy a good hill run or a walk through the forest. With the good weather, you will know to keep well hydrated and to cover up from the sun but have you thought about protecting yourself from ticks? Although not as active in the middle of summer, they are can be picked up all year round, especially in grassy areas where there is grazing. You are not likely to feel them bite into you, and burying their little heads. These little Read More …

β˜”ollymore Festival – Thanks to Everyone Involved!

This weekend LVO put on another really enjoyable festival of orienteering at Tollymore, thanks to all the fantastic people who helped out in many ways (and no thanks to the windy and wet conditions 🌨πŸŒͺ). The whole weekend was expertly organised and coordinated by Gordon Stephens, with three events and the general organisation of camping and BBQ he had his hands full, or should I say hand, as he was doing it all with one arm in a cast! πŸ’ͺ πŸ‘ A special mention must go to Mark Pruzina who like an iceberg is super cool and what you see Read More …

hCOW WEE Tables Updated

At “Resources>OneDrive Public>hCOW>hCOW2022” you’ll find the hCOW results for Carnfunnock in “WEE7.pdf” showing things settling down with a variance of only 3secs/km. In “WEE Series Table.pdf” you’ll find your points score and your history of handicap variations. The table is organised in total points order (lowest first) with those having achieved 6 counting scores at the top of the list.
