Best of luck to all those from LVO who are taking part today in the Junior Inter Regional Championships (JIRCS) today at Mallard’s Pike, courtesy of Bristol Orienteering Club. The JIRCs is an annual competition between the twelve UK Junior Regional Squads. Each region enters a team made up of up to 4 M/W14’s, 16’s and 18’s – a total of 24 athletes. The last TempO cluster of the TrailO Champs series will be staged alongside NISeries7 at Glengarriff Forest on 19th October. I was there today prospecting a suitable site. Although it was drizzling on the journey the sun broke through and the view down the glen was magnificent.
