Sunday 5th November – Gosford Forest park, Markethill

Looking for something to do on Sunday again? Don’t worry it’s time for another Craigavon outing if you wish, to an area not used in years: Gosford Forest Park. Ok, the map may need a bit of work but I’ve planned the courses so that you can enjoy the conditions underfoot and run free, well mostly. As usual, there will be something on offer for everyone, whether complete beginner or seasoned pro. All I would ask is that if you are thinking of coming, please let me know for map numbers. Courses on offer: Yellow, Orange, Light Green and Green. Starts Read More …

2017 Club Championships

These will be held in conjunction with the Tyrella event on November 11th. Details of age classes linked to colour courses will be published.

Crawfordsburn TrailO – details

registration – alongside FootO reg; entry fee zero.  Open from 10:30 (or as soon thereafter as I can get the controls out!). map – scale 1:4000, contours 2.5m, drawn to ISSOM2006 with amendment for TrailO in accordance with Section 7 of ISOM2000.  For boulder mapping all dimensions have been considered relevant, not just height. control descriptions – ISCD2004 trail – metalled and gravel paths mapped as double black lines (solid for metalled, dashed for gravel) with brown infill.  Competitors MUST NOT leave the trail.  The optimum route between decision points 2 & 3 involves steps; there is a slightly longer Read More …

Crawfordsburn – Added Value!

There will be a free-to-enter TrailO course available at Saturday’s event.  This will be for the 2017 Club TrailO Championship so, since no FootO Champs have been scheduled in the fixture list, this is your chance to become THE 2017 Club Champ!  The TrailO is to be taken before your FootO run (I don’t want to be collecting controls in the dark!) so come along a little early and have a go – instruction will be available if required.  The trail is 925m with 9 controls.  Technical details later.

Wednesday Evening Night Training – WENT

Just because Beat the Street is coming to an end and the clocks are about to change, there is no need to wonder what you can usefully do on a Wednesday evening to retain your sanity until the end of the week – WENTs are returning for November and December to bring structure to your life! WENTs are for everyone who wants to train, improve their technique or just plain have fun. You don’t even have to be a member of LVO to join in. The format is simple – meet from 7.00pm, mass start at 7.30pm, strict 45 minute Read More …
