📣A WEE update on the May Scores

😬 Grit your teeth, with only one week to go in the May league, we are in for a tight finish. Only 4 points separate the top three position in both the Long and Short courses. Last month I made a few errors with my sums, so should all be fixed now. The high scores means I need more beads for my abacus. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️Long Course: Well done to the 21 people who have participated at all three venues this month, fantastic effort! There has been some movement at the top. Presently in the top six positions are, Anastasia Mahlych 60 Read More …

Hillsborough WEE Results

Now available for Routegadget https://www.lvo.routegadget.co.uk/rg2/#459 and Winsplits http://obasen.orientering.se/winsplits/online/en/show_event.asp?id=81499 Many thanks to everybody who helped last night, especially the control collectors who were held up a long time waiting for a lost competitor. Make sure you know what the course closing time is! Cecil Armstrong

First hCOW WEE table is available

It can be found in the hCOW2022 folder at “Resources>OneDrive Public>hCOW>hCOW2022”. It shows the starting handicaps for those who completed the Long Course at Hillsborough. It gives you two options; you can either try to remain consistent and score as few place points as possible or try to reduce your handicap over the series. If you didn’t get to Hillsborough don’t worry as your first appearance down the line will set your handicap.

🤸‍♀️It’s WEE Time!🤸‍♂️

They had a great run around, testing out the newly updated map of the forest Stephen Gilmore has worked on and his long course. It was great to see so many smiling faces and nothing but compliments for the terrain, map and course, so we are in for a treat this evening. The fastest O-tourist (who I think was a Swede) did it in about 27 minutes – so there’s a time to beat! Although the WEEs are Read More …

The Bovine Returns

I don’t know if the MOO will be at this summers WEE series but at least hCOW will be in action, with handicap calculations being applied to the Long Course results. With the variability of the technical difficulty, from Hillsborough bomb craters to Antrim Castle parkland to UUJ urban terrain, your handicaps may show more fluctuation than those of the colour events but at least they will allow you to track the reasons for your good (and bad!) results and hopefully improve your performance. Until the August events appear in the fixture list the number of counting results can’t be Read More …

A WEE reminder

Tonight is the deadline to pre-enter for the first WEE of the season. It is at Hillsborough forest with starts from 6.30pm. A large group of Scandinavian O-tourists are testing it out on Tuesday for us. Both days results will be unavailable, so you can see how you fare against them. Don’t miss out EOD will not guarantee a map.
