Mid and East Antrim BC have partnered with Lagan Valley Orienteers to celebrate Love Parks Week! We have a mini-series of 3 events across the week exploring 3 of the beautiful green spaces MEA has to offer. Although July is traditionally a rest month for organised Orienteering activity, hopefully you are able to get out and enjoy a good hill run or a walk through the forest. This weekend LVO put on another really enjoyable festival of orienteering at Tollymore, thanks to all the fantastic people who helped out in many ways (and no thanks to the windy and wet conditions 🌨🌪). It was great to see us all studying are maps so hard at University yesterday evening. It was great to have some lovely weather after a couple of damp ones. 🚶‍♂️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️ 69 people took part, 31 of whom were juniors from clubs, schools or part of a family unit. 👏👏👏 Special thanks go to joint planners/organisers Richard Hetherington and Paul Daniels. Great job everyone who participated in a fantastic evenings fun running up and down the slopes of in Carnfunnock Country Park. Again the weather was playing games with us, with most of us getting a bit damp, along with a few soggy maps for those who risked not taking a bag 🌧🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🌧💪 🚶‍♂️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️ 57 people took part, 28 of whom were juniors from both clubs and schools. Entries on Day (EOD) will be £8 for an adult and £4 for a Junior for both members and non-members.
