Congratulations to LVO’s very own Paul Pruzina with his achievements so far at this years World Championships. Over the last few days Paul has been representing Ireland in the stunning Flims/Laxx area of the Swiss Alps – someone has to I suppose! The Middle Distance Qualifying races took place on Wednesday. These races determine who gets into the final and their starting positions, with the fastest qualifiers starting last in the final. With 3 scoring events gone (WEE1 was used to set initial handicaps) and 4 to go it means that WEE5 on 2nd August at UUJ should start to show who is in contention in both the hCOW (regularity) and Regatta (improvement) competitions. The fantastic NI Colour Series event on Saturday 24 June at Meelmore hosted the annual LVO Club Championship event. All who attended will agree that the courses were certainly fit for a Championship – thank you to George Savell for planning such a challenge for us to enjoy/endure! It is sometimes a bit tricky to decide what colour course is best matched with each age/gender class. Our 4th and final June WEE took place at Belvoir Forest.
