The Colour Standards table has been reset for 2024. It shows a number of things: first of all it’s a membership list – if your name’s in green then you’re a new member and most welcome; let’s see your name progressing up the results lists as the year goes on. If your name is clear then you’ve rejoined for 2024 – well done; if you’re in the pink then you haven’t so get on with it – you don’t want to have to start paying non-members entry fees! If you’re yellow it means that you forgot to rejoin in 2023 so you’ll have to go through the rejoining process on the BOF website.
The second thing to look at is your history of colour achievement over the last 12 months. In there the capital letters show which 3 events count to your current standard; beware if any are near the left-hand side as they will be the first to drop out of the 12-month window.
The third thing is the list of colour events coming up in 2024. Since the LVO fixture list doesn’t show any I’ve had to do a bit of research elsewhere and that’s my best guess, so keeping checking for correct dates and venues. What seems to be the case is that the customary 6 club colour events have been reduced to 2 so maintaining your colour standards could be a little more difficult in 2024. Good O-luck!
