Spring Cup 1 – Belfast Castle

Spring Cup 1 update. Fred and I spent a rather damp morning finalising the controls. Maps for Green and Orange will be on 1:7500 scale and Yellow on 1:3000. Leg protection and good grips are advised and the Yellow (shortest) is not suitable for prams. A further update with timings etc will appear later in the week. Note: That is the initial plan mapwise but if not the longer 2 will be on 1:10000.

Irish Orienteering Championships – Volunteers

The Club is hosting the Irish Championships that includes an IOF World Ranking Event over the weekend of 1 to 4 May and with six events we need a good number of officials to stage them. Ann Savage has taken on the job of volunteer recruitment and will be keen to talk to all club members on Saturday at Crawfordsburn and in subsequent weeks. Otherwise you could contact her at annsavage@ballyhayroad.co.uk. We will try as best as possible to let all officials have a run. Please volunteer and support your Club in staging this major event. IOF World Ranking Sprint – 1st May 2015
