Well Done

Congratulations to all involved in staging the very successful IOC events over the weekend. It was a very ambitions programme in terms of the number of events and the new technologies to take on, with the weather on Saturday testing to the limits the spirits of all involved. I received today a lot of congratulations and thanks to be passed on to all of the LVO members. Also I would like to thank Robin Strain (ELO) who made a very valuable contribution to the production of results. Well done everyone Harold

Stile party

A number of stiles need to be erected on Slieve Croob for the Irish Championship event and a work party will be constructing them next Friday 17 April. We need a number of volunteers to carry materials to the locations of the stiles and to assist with their construction. It should be pointed out that anyone who takes part may have to declare themselves as non-competitive if they are a championship contender. The party will assemble at the Equestrian Centre on the Slievenisky Road at 10.00am.

Irish Orienteering Championships – Volunteers

The Club is hosting the Irish Championships that includes an IOF World Ranking Event over the weekend of 1 to 4 May and with six events we need a good number of officials to stage them. Ann Savage has taken on the job of volunteer recruitment and will be keen to talk to all club members on Saturday at Crawfordsburn and in subsequent weeks. Otherwise you could contact her at annsavage@ballyhayroad.co.uk. We will try as best as possible to let all officials have a run. Please volunteer and support your Club in staging this major event.
