Congratulations to all the LVO members who attended the Level C Controllers Course last Saturday at Hillsborough Village Centre!
Controllers play a vital role in making sure our events run smoothly and to the highest standards. Their responsibilities include:
โ Ensuring event standards are met from planning through to review
โ Making sure all event and competition rules are followed
โ Communicating with tact to support and guide event officials
โ Offering advice to avoid common pitfalls
โ Supporting the organiser and planner at every stage
โ Verifying that a proper risk assessment is done
โ Ratifying final event paperwork (courses, maps, control codes, etc.)
โ Providing detailed feedback post-event
Itโs fantastic to see a couple of new faces working towards becoming fully qualified controllers! ๐
