πββοΈ Great to see another really positive turn out at last night’s WEE. 70 participants both club members and newcomers enjoyed the courses set out for us in and around the Orangefield and Greenville parks.
πΊ The planner this week was James Earnshaw who set two enjoyably challenging courses for us to enjoy. For the long course James took us into a little urban area which mixed things up for us.
π A big thank you again to all who made the evening so enjoyable – planner James, Alan Brett (Coordinator and IT), Wilbert Hollinger and Mark Earnshaw (starts), Alan Gartside (map printing), Poppy Gribben and Abbie Moore (control collection), Geoffrey Collins (results). Thanks again to the IT and publicity people are Sharon, Mark and Moire and the mappers, Bill Simpson and Stephen Gilmore who have produced the maps of the areas we have enjoyed running around.
π Sorry, I didn’t have time to sort out the prizes for last months winners, but I haven’t forgotten about you!
After this first week in June, the early leaders of the Long course are the same top three as May, but remember, their results don’t count for the June handicap and we will be looking for three new winners! So, the next three in contention are Aine McCann, Wilbert Hollinger and my good self, Ric Gamble. With me in there, it is clear all is still up for grabs with three more WEE events this month.
The early Short course Junior leaders for June are Alfie Kennedy, Jennifer Dawson and Sarah Ritchie. Richard McCourt is leading the adult charge.

π’ This coming Wednesday we are off to the lovely Hillsborough Forest Park. Please come along and support first time planner, Emma Graham as she treats us to some great courses (I can vouch for this as her planning mentor).
π¨βπ©βπ§βπ¦ We will continue to run the 1 WEE 4 FREE offer – friends of members are invited to attend their first WEE for FREE, just register a few details using the form on the event webpage before 7pm on Tuesday.
