All Levels Running Training on Wednesdays

Yes it’s a thing! Restarts Wednesday 9th January. Meeting Malone RFC, ready to run at 7pm. Bring a headtorch and some trail shoes. We can go do some exploring 🙂 Running Training is for All Levels. We jog together over to Orangefield Park. We warm up together, smile for the camera, complete the session at our own pace, jog home together, lots of stretching and all done by 8:15pm. Then a chance for a coffee or a cheeky schoolnight pint in the bar at the rugby club. See you there 🙂

Sad news – Pete Power

Folks, Terribly sad news emerged on Thursday, of the passing of Pete Power. Together with his wife Moire O’Sullivan, and their wee boys Aran & Cahal, they have in recent years settled in Rostrevor and become an integral part of the vibrancy of our Tollymore Orienteers hub. I know you will join with me in expressing condolences to Moire, Aran, Cahal and Pete’s wider group of family & friends. Moire has made a very thoughtful request. Running Training tonight

Running training is ON! tonight 🙂Ready to depart Malone RFC at 7pm, and we’ll be back again by 8:15pm. We’ll be running hill reps, always at your own pace. You have the option of grass or hard surface – if you’re going the grassy way, it’s sloppy underfoot; wear grippy footwear. Santa hats 🎅 and reindeer antlers 🦌 actively encouraged 🙂

Autumn Workshop this evening

#BeatTheForestPlanner workshop this evening 19:00 – hosted by Wilbert & Fin. These fine gentlemen know a thing or two or three about forest orienteering 🌲 It’s being hosted at the Junction Centre in Dungannon (not Antrim!!) This modern building is on the right side (as you drive in) of the Tesco car park, opposite the bus station. Massive thanks to everyone involved in WEE Series 2018.  Event officials, on-the-night volunteers, behind-the-scenes folk, and of course all our lovely participants.  Personally, I had a blast and I didn’t even run a single one! Wednesday Evening Training

Bye Bye WEE Series😟, Hello Wednesday Evening Training 🤗 Wednesdays in September are taking shape, a mixture of running training and skills training. Nice and informal! Current plan is: 5th Sept – All Levels Running Training from Malone RFC 12th Sept – Skills Training (venue TBC) 19th Sept – All Levels Running Training from Malone RFC 26th Sept – Skills Training (venue TBC) Session 1 will be led by Susan. Connswater Community Greenway Celebrations

Our satellite hub, Urban-O Explorers Belfast, are delighted to be at Orangefield Park this Sunday, 1pm-4pm.  We’re offering short orienteering loops, family-friendly & perfect for beginners to try out our wonderful sport.  This is all part of the Greenway Celebrations. There are so many activities going on in the park, it’s sure to be a fun afternoon out.  Bring the kids, the grandkids, the neighbours……and your sense of adventure!
