Sunday 26th November – Tannaghmore Gardens, Craigavon Lakes

Our latest Craigavon Community Orienteers’ event. Another newly extended map and in my mind incorporating some of the best bits of the park, previously not included on the old map. I know i’m a little late in posting but the lurgy has had the better of me for most of the week. I’ll be off out into the frosty gardens shortly to finalise the planning under the gorgeous blue skies, but courses on offer will be Yellow, Orange, and Light Green. So if you’re at a loss as to what to do tomorrow and want to get out into the crisp Read More …

NIOA will be holding a Coaching Ideas Workshop on Monday 20th November in the Royal School Dungannon, starting at 7.30pm. Beat the Street 2017

Well done to all 33 who took part, running to gain points for LVO. Today the club received £500 in Decathlon vouchers, plus a trophy, for finishing in second place on average points score.    Andrew, Angela, Mandy, Wilbert and Trevor represented LVO at the awards ceremony. Andrew, one of our newest members, amassed a massive 13,810 points cycling, and visiting all the beat boxes and in numerical order.   He visited all 373 boxes, covering a distance  of some 630 miles.  Susan, I hear,  visited all the boxes on foot.   Impressive indeed. It is hoped that the Sunday urban events Read More …

WENT 3 Botanic and Queens Wed 15 Nov

After last week’s splash experience in Musgrave Park (27 participants – keep it up) this week we are in Botanic Gardens and the QUB Campus. Meet outside the QUB library (beside the main car park) at 7.00pm for a 7.30 mass start as usual. No SnookerO this week – proper courses to take advantage of the urban terrain, but feet may yet get wet in the park. You should also get a great view of the Ulster Museum poppy cascade – brilliant.
