Well done all who took part in the NI Sprint and Middle Distance races on Saturday. On behalf of the LVO committee, I just want to say a big ‘THANK YOU‘ to all our members for the fantastic support you show the club, especially this year when activities and events were disrupted. Rescue and Emergency Care Training – Saturday 20 March Congratulations to the eight LVO club members who attended and passed their Rescue and Emergency Care First Aid training on Saturday. Also joined by two Fermo and two NWOC club members, this is the first class of LVO members to go through formal First Aid training for a few years. Many of our first aid qualifications expired during lockdown and it was challenging to arrange training – so big thanks to Raymond Shannon for providing a very professional, Covid safe, days training. What? REC1 is a 1 day (8 hour) First Aid course specifically designed to treat casualties in an outdoor recreational setting. You will be trained to treat casualties with various injuries including breaks and cuts as well as treating an unconscious casualty. This includes the practice of CPR and the use of an AED.
