Twenty nine LVO members made the journey just over the border into the Cooleys on Sunday 3rd October to Carnawaddy for the Leinster 2020/2021 Championships. Nice conditions made for good running in a great setting and LVO competed well against the other Irish clubs. Six class wins were recorded for LVO members: Oliver O’Kane in M16 Susan Lambe in W40 Stephanie Pruzina in W55 Lyle Fleming in M55 Wilbert Hollinger in M70  and Richard McCourt in M75 Other notable results, Fiona Austin was second in W40 as was Sarah Gamble in W45 and Heather Cairns came third in W55. Too add to the excitement on Sunday, LVO members will be competing for a few prizes. Courses and Prizes Green – The Male and Female winners of the green course will be awarded the Autumn Trophy. The first male and female juniors will also receive a prize. Short Green – There will be prizes awarded to W60+, M70+, Junior Male and Junior Female winners Orange – There will be prizes awarded to W12 and M12 winners Yellow – There will be prizes awarded to W10 and M10 winners On-line entry closes on Friday So get your entries in now, HERE!

Stuart died in a tragic accident on Saturday 4 September 2021. The thoughts and prayers of the LVO community go out to all Stuart’s family, friends and loved ones.

There are a number of LVO members who would like to and have entered a higher course than what their Age Class corresponds to. For example if you are an M55 and have decided not to run the Blue course but to ‘run up’ on the Brown course you are no longer eligible to compete at M55 and have to decide what age class you do want to compete in, will it be M21, M35, M40, M45, or M50 (seniors are not allowed to enter Junior classes).
