Sporteering Extra

This Wednesday (19th) we’re slipping in an extra Sporteering event (sorry, training activity – gotta keep the BOF tally man happy !!). Running training doesn’t seem to be floating anyone’s boat post Xmas, so hopefully this will keep the regular Wednesday night club get-together going. Sporteering is an excellent way to combine a training run with sharpening up your map reading and route choice on the move. The score format means that all abilities can decide on how far and how long you want to stay out. To give us a break from Tim Hortons, we’re meeting at Slim’s Kitchen Read More …

AUTUMN TROPHY 2 KILBRONEY 2nd Nov – CANCELLED

Regretfully due to planned forestry operations we have had to cancel the upcoming Autumn Trophy event at Kilbroney in Rostrevor. These operations mean that it is not possible to run any courses above an orange standard. This is very disappointing especially for Michael Burton who has already been hard at work planning the courses, but unfortunately it was unavoidable.  Plans are underway to try to re-schedule an Autumn Trophy event to another date and venue (probably Nov 30/Dec 1, as this is the only weekend with no NI orienteering before the end of the year). Volunteers and ideas are most Read More …
