What an amazing 4 days of racing over the Easter weekend at the Jan Kjellström International Festival of Orienteering in Perthshire, Scotland! 🏃♂️🌲⛰️
LVO members had an incredible experience – from great racing and hanging out, to tackling complicated forests and flying through the fast alleyways of Perth. And the results? Simply outstanding! 🙌🔥
Pride of place goes to James Ewart, who won the overall M16 championship across the Middle and Long races 🥇👏 An incredible achievement for this young athlete, who extends a huge thank you to LVO, NIOA, Mary Peters Trust, and all the coaches across LVO, the Irish Junior Orienteering Squad and British Talent Squad 💙
Kudos also to our other fantastic podium finisher, Moire O’Sullivan who placed 2nd in Friday’s W50 Sprint before teaming up with Olivia Baxter and Sophie Pruzina to take bronze on Monday’s Women’s Short Relay!
A special mention to our amazing juniors – Emily, Chloe, Benj, Sophie, and Charlotte – who attended the JK for the first time and are already achieving brilliant results 🌟👏
