Tables Updated after Gortalughany

The various tables have got the treatment – they can now be accessed, thanks to some tidying work by Geoffrey Collins, from the “Standings” section on the website (immediately following “”Results”).

No colour event dropped off the 12-month window so the Colour Standards table shows consolidation for some folk – no turning up with the pressure of needing a good run to maintain your standard!

The hCOW table shows that, although going was reportedly slow, there was near-equality between the winners and losers leading to a small positive event variance and therefore not as much handicap movement as some might have expected. Don’t forget the hCOW table rewards regularity, not speed. The Handicap table allows you to see how things have varied – relate them to your memories of your good (or bad!) performance to analyse your techniques. The Regatta table shows points awarded for handicap improvement and, like the hCOW table, will show more relevance as you achieve 7 results and start to discard your poorest performances.

The NISeries tables can be accessed from the results section of the NIOA website; a copy is available under the “OneDrive Public” link on the club website.
