Table Update from Hillsborough results

You can find the various tables by following “Resources>OneDrive Public>” then:

“Club Colour Series>2023SpringCup.pdf” for the final Spring Cup placings. Congratulations to our winners!

“Colour Standards>Colour Standards.pdf” for your current standard position. With 2 events dropping out of the window there have been some folk who have lost standards (no longer 3 events in the year) and other who have dropped standard. However don’t despair – I have realised that since the introduction of the Short Blue course last autumn I have been using the winner’s time as the standard whereas regular Brown course runners should be discounted so some folk will see an improvement when I get the chance to check the results from 6 events!

“hCOW>hCOW2023>” then:

“Event5Hillsborough.pdf” for the regularity results. If you look at the table you will see that the person in the middle of the list (Rosemary Croley) which is sorted by variance (i.e. difference between on-the day speed and handicap) is the winner and place points are awarded on the basis of difference from that figure. I had thought that the Short Blue runners would be at a no-paths disdavantage but it looks as if the Hillsborough bomb craters don’t need paths to intimidate the map reader!

“hCOW Table.pdf” for the regularity points to date. Note that there are 8 events to go and with 7 to count you need to be schedulling your attendance to reach that number (why not go to all of them!).

“Handicap Table.pdf” for your history of handicap variation to let you consider where you went wrong (or right!).

“Regatta Table.pdf” for the handicap improvement points to date. Again 7 to count.
