The table “Resources>OneDrive Public>Colour Standards>Colour Standards.pdf” carries a variety of information. Firstly it is a register of members as reported by the BOF membership system. New members (very welcome!) are highlighted in green – if you meet up with any your job is to provide advice and welcome; pink and yellow highlighting shows previous members who have not rejoined for 2022 – your job in this case if you know them is to plead, cajole or threaten them into rejoining, for the more members we have the wider the event staging load can be spread (and, incidentally, helping with event staging is one of the best ways to develop your own ability).
The left-hand side of the table shows your history of colour standard achievement; the letters are related to courses via the table at the top of the list. The capitalised letters show your best three results in the last 12 months; the arrows at the top and bottom of the page show the extent of that window. The 3 results combine to give you your current colour.
At the right-hand side is shown your best colour achievement this year (in some cases a good result may have dropped out of the 12-month window thus lowering your current colour). At the end of the year it will be this which gets inserted into the colour history table. Finally in brackets on the right is the best colour you have achieved in past years.
Now you know!
