Venue 📍Queens University, McClay Library car park, College Park. Meet afterwards for a coffee/ice cream at Al Geleto.
Event Format Wednesday Evening Night Training is a mid-weekly session during the colder, darker months of November and December.

This week is MapRun week.

Start Times Be warmed up and ready to start at 7.30pm. Finish about 8.30pm.
Price 💰 WENTs are free for members of LVO, NIOA and Orienteering Ireland. Non-members are also welcome to attend any of our activities and events but there is a £3 fee for this activity.
Terrain Summary Urban – streets and some roads with busy traffic. Most pedestrian road crossings will be marked on map. Please follow highway code Give way to other pedestrians and road users.

Notes/Courses Score course. 35 controls to collect in any order in 45 minutes. Controls are worth 10-40 points with a 10 point per minute penalty for lateness. Max score 800 points.

Optimal route is approximately 8km.

Kit requirements Head torch – let us know beforehand if you need to borrow one.

Compass – can be borrowed if necessary.

A dibber is not required.

A Smartphone with the app MapRun loaded.

🧥👖Please come appropriately dressed for the conditions. Hi-Viz clothing. If cold/wet, layer up and consider a hat, gloves and buff and waterproof jacket.

Parking Parking and registration will be at the car park at McClay library
Toilets
Public Toilets not available, but there are Uni building and local coffee shops with toilets which you may be able to use.
