Event Description
The LVO Tollymore Festival of Orienteering is an annual 3 day event with formal races on Friday and Saturday and a fun event on Sunday morning. A key feature of the weekend is the social gathering in Tollymore campsite with a great BBQ on the Saturday evening. All orienteers and their families are welcome.
Orienteering Events
The Friday and Saturday events can be entered individually – see links below for details:
- Day 1: Friday 19 June 2026 – Urban orienteering, Dundrum.
- Day 2: Saturday 20 June 2026 – NI Colour Series 4 (LVO Club Championships), Slieve Croob, Dromara.
- Day 3: Sunday 21 June 2026 – Fun 2-Person Relay, Tollymore Forest.
The social activities below are bookable via SI Entries NICS4 either as add-ons to a race entry or a standalone “Social Only” option.
Camping
Camping is available at the Tollymore Forest camping field from Friday to Sunday, offering a great base for your weekend at a reduced cost.
Camping Cost:
£7 per adult & £3 per child (12 & under) per night.
Location:
Tollymore Forest Park, accessed via Bryansford Road. Please note there is a one-way system in place; the exit is via Hilltown Road.

Toilet and shower facilities are conveniently located beside the Youth Camp or you can use the larger set up at the main campsite.
BBQ
The Barbeque will be at 18:30 on Saturday in the campsite. Please indicate on SI Entries your preference for meat or vegetarian. There will be paper plates but you may wish to bring your own cups, plates and cutlery to reduce the use of single use plastics and paper.
Barbeque costs £15 for adult and £9 for children (12 & under).
