Event Description

Carnearney Forest

Parking and Registration – located at the Tardree Forest car park, there is limited parking, so please organise car sharing to prevent excessive overflow onto the road.

Courses – There are 6 courses – if you wish to run competitively be carful to choose the course relating to your age/gender. Participants may choose to ‘run-up’ and compete in a more challenging course than their age (with the exception of Juniors who must enter their set courses). Participants can also choose to ‘run down’ and be considered uncompetitive.

Course 1: Open. (M18, M20, M21, M35)

Course 2: Male Vets and Female Open. (MV40, M45, M50, W18, W20, W21, W35)

Course 3: Male Super Vets and Female Vets (M55, M60, W40, W45, W50)

Course 4: Male Ultra Vets, Female Super Vets and Female Ultra Vets (M65+, W55+)

Course 5: Junior: (MW14, MW16)

Course 6: Minor: (MW8,MW10,MW12)

Starts –  Starts will be between 1430-1530

If you have registered on line, please proceed directly to the start.

Allow time (10-15 min) for a 1.3km walk from the car park to the start.

For those attending the NIOA AGM, please book a later start time.

Safety 

The race is taking place entirely in Carnearney Forest which is on the other side of the road to the car park. Please take particular care when crossing and walking along the road to the start and finish.

Courses close with control collection at 1700. If still out on the course at this time, please abort your run and return to download.

All participants must download at the finish.
