Event Description
Please Note: Change in location for MESS#5. It has moved from Tollymore to Meelmore.
It has been wet, so please bring sensible footwear and be prepared to get a little squelchy 🙂
4️⃣courses on offer:
Beginner – about 2km. Navigation using or close to paths and other obvious linear features.
Improver – about 2.5-3.5km. On linear features, with decision points – this week will be a little harder than usual, but nothing you won’t be able to handle! Please bring a compass if you have one, if not there will be some available to borrow. We’ll show you how to use it if needed.
Advanced – about 3-3.5km. Challenging navigation TD4 and physical terrain.
Expert – about 4-5km. Challenging navigation TD4/5 and physical terrain – special training week – 50/50 contours only, and rock features only!
👋Everyone welcome! Complete beginners, families, dogs, runners will all find a suitable course to enjoy. For experienced orienteers there will be longer and technically challenging Advanced / Expert course on offer to help hone your fitness and map reading skills.
