Don’t miss Autumn Trophy 2 at Crawfordsburn Country Park on 28th October. Follow the signs for Crawfordsburn off the A2 Belfast to Bangor Rd – the park is signed to the left before you reach Crawfordsburn village. Follow the one-way road system and park below the Country Park Centre/cafe ( not the car-park closest to the beach.) Registration will be in a car (probably a red people carrier) from 11.30am. Starts are 12-1pm and controls will be collected after 3pm. Courses on offer are Green, Orange and Yellow. Juniors must use the bridges when crossing the river. There are toilets in the beach car park and the cafe will be open for lunches and snacks until 4pm.
See you there
The LVO 2017 Survey had two goals. Firstly to capture details of LVO and non-LVO, including SI numbers, for our Autodownload archive and secondly to enlighten the Committee on the memberships views of the club.
There were 59 respondents with 51 completing the survey. Of the 51, 35 were LVO members. Thank you to all who completed the survey.
The winner of the incentive prize is Pete McClelland. A pair of running socks is waiting for you at the final WEE!
The raw results of the survey can be viewed here
The committee will review the results in more detail at the next meeting and publish their findings in due course.
The WEE is back on again on Wednesday at Bangor Castle. Parking is by the leisure centre and long and short courses are available. Registration is from 18:00 and starts are from 18:30 to 19:30. Newcomers are very welcome and there will be people about to help get you started. Keep an eye on the forecast, it could be drizzly just for an added challenge.
Despite the heroic efforts by the British Orienteering Chief Executive, our insurers and the Belfast Harbour Commission, we have not been able to agree insurance cover for the event. Therefore we have no option but to cancel. Please try and make sure your friends and family are aware of this.
Look forward to next weeks WEE at Bangor Castle.
