Final details are available on the LVO website for Autumn Trophy 2 at Slieve Garron. There have been some changes from the provisional details. There is an important note in the “fences” section for the green course. Final course lengths, climb and control numbers are up. Parking and social information has been added. Attention: event organisers/controllers/planners please help yourself to orienteering event publicity posters, aiming to publicise events. Pick up A number of copies printed on ‘fancy’ paper can be collected from the MOO from the 9th September. Alternatively, you may wish to print your own by downloading a copy here. If printing at home it may be an idea to use poly pockets or laminate the posters if placing outside. Write up Fill in the blank boxes. Location: Name of venue. Massive thanks to everyone involved in WEE Series 2018.  Event officials, on-the-night volunteers, behind-the-scenes folk, and of course all our lovely participants.  Personally, I had a blast and I didn’t even run a single one! Wednesday Evening Training

Bye Bye WEE Series😟, Hello Wednesday Evening TrainingÂ đŸ€— Wednesdays in September are taking shape, a mixture of running training and skills training. Nice and informal! Current plan is: 5th Sept – All Levels Running Training from Malone RFC 12th Sept – Skills Training (venue TBC) 19th Sept – All Levels Running Training from Malone RFC 26th Sept – Skills Training (venue TBC) Session 1 will be led by Susan. Whatever Happened to “dib”?

Three to four years ago I built a couple of smartphone apps for orienteering. Since then I’ve gone quiet about them. What happened next? I had thought “not much” but it turns out something happened. First a bit of background. Background What’s dib? My apps “dib” and “dib HQ” were an experiment. The motivation was to reduce the cost of entry to orienteering for small clubs and schools and simplify the process for organisers. LVO Club Championships 2018

The LVO Club Championship will be run at NI Colour Series 4 in Garvagh on Saturday 25th August 2018. For details, see the North West Orienteering Club website here. Colour courses have been allocated to each age class. You are free to run the colour course of your choice, but to be considered for the club championships you must run the course listed below for your age class.
