There will be junior compass and pacing training available at the Woodburn event on Sat 2 Apr. The course will be set out in the wood to the left of the main path that enters the forest just by the car park – all nice and close. You will be given a map with only the control circles, scale and grid lines on it. You then have to take an accurate bearings and pace the distance to get to the control kite (which will be on the ground out of sight). The 2016 AGM will be held after the Woodburn event on Saturday 2nd April starting as close to 2pm as possible. Anyone wishing to raise an issue for inclusion on the agenda should contact the Chairman by Tuesday 22nd March. Nominations are also invited by the same date for the Steve McGibbon trophy which is awarded annually for services to the club.
Greg McCann is offering a post race massage using soap and ice on Saturday. Anyone interested just bring a towel and wear shorts.
The NIOA Juniors are fundraising by selling tea/coffee/soup and buns at Silent Valley on Saturday. Can that parents of juniors please bring some buns/cakes for this event.

As always these events would not happen without volunteers and this fixtures organiser Mary Knight needs help with entries and downloads in the MOO and the collecting of controls once the courses close.
