Clarendon Dock WEE Cancelled

Despite the heroic efforts by the British Orienteering Chief Executive, our insurers and the Belfast Harbour Commission, we have not been able to agree insurance cover for the event.  Therefore we have no option but to cancel.  Please try and make sure your friends and family are aware of this. Look forward to next weeks WEE at Bangor Castle.

Clarendon Dock WEE

I’m terribly sorry, but you should know that the Clarendon Dock WEE tomorrow evening is at severe risk. The Harbour Commission requirements for indemnity assurance appear to be more than our BOF Insurance will cover. I have asked the BOF insurers for a last minute review tomorrow morning. I will attempt to provide you with an update, but if there is no further news by 1 pm then I’m afraid we will have to cancel. Richard McCourt has put a huge effort into planning (and organizing) the event and is naturally gutted. Further news when I have it. Cecil

Clarendon Dock WEE

The WEE next week, August 9th, will be in the Harbour Estate around the historic Belfast Harbour Commissioners Office. Registration will be in the Corporation Square car park across the road from the Harbour Office. There is no charge in this car park after 6pm. Access the car park from Westlink via Corporation Street like this or from the Albert Clock like this More details to follow. Cecil Armstrong 078 1587 2010

Podium Place for LVO at the Scottish Six Days

Wilbert was the only competitor to achieve 18 out of 20 controls. Club mate Stephen Gilmore was placed 10th in the field of 51 elite competitors with 15 correct; a staggering 10 out of 20 answers being Z.  The elite Read More …
