👏More buckets full of thanks and apologies!

I thought I might miss out thanking some people in my last post, but I can’t believe I missed out our Assistant Planners and Assistant Controllers – SORRY, forgiveness requested 🙏 Michael Burton supported Philip with the planning and indeed securing access to the grounds of the Planetarium. As if this wasn’t enough, he gave a presentation on the Cosmos the evening before the Sprint! Graeme Francis also assisted in the planning and as mapper of Armagh, knew the place inside out so was instrumental in selecting the locations and gaining access to such great areas. Helen Baxter was the Read More …

Table Update from Hillsborough results

You can find the various tables by following “Resources>OneDrive Public>” then: “Club Colour Series>2023SpringCup.pdf” for the final Spring Cup placings. Congratulations to our winners! “Colour Standards>Colour Standards.pdf” for your current standard position. With 2 events dropping out of the window there have been some folk who have lost standards (no longer 3 events in the year) and other who have dropped standard. However don’t despair – I have realised that since the introduction of the Short Blue course last autumn I have been using the winner’s time as the standard whereas regular Brown course runners should be discounted so some Read More …

Spring Cup Completion and looking ahead

For those of us lucky enough to run at Hillsborough on Saturday, for the final Spring Cup event of the year, we were treated to some great weather and fantastic courses which Olivia planned. With lots of changes in direction, the courses definitely had a middle distance feel about them. The Short Blue course was particularly interesting as all the paths were removed from the map, making participants focus on using contours and other features such as vegetation changes. Thank you to the officials and all those who helped out to make it such a great event.👏 Results, including Routegadget Read More …

It went quiet for a while…

If you are a subscriber to the LVO website you will have been used to receiving an email when news is posted. Recently something broke behind the scenes, unexpectedly and badly. I’ve been working to restore the subscription service. There’s more to do but you should now start to receive those emails again. In case you missed any of the recent news, here are links: Regards, Geoffrey
