There will be a free-to-enter TrailO course available at Saturday’s event.  This will be for the 2017 Club TrailO Championship so, since no FootO Champs have been scheduled in the fixture list, this is your chance to become THE 2017 Club Champ!  The TrailO is to be taken before your FootO run (I don’t want to be collecting controls in the dark!) so come along a little early and have a go – instruction will be available if required.  The trail is 925m with 9 controls.  Technical details later.

Well that’s the course’s done! The park is in pretty good nick. Only one large tree down. Very little vegetation, and I have access to ALL areas, plus I’ve extended the map a little for more fun along the riverbank. What more can you want on a Sunday afternoon. Courses available: Yellow :  2.1km Orange :  3.3km ‘Mid’ Green : 4km as the crow flies ( bring your compass for this one ). There’s still a chance to book a map if you wish as i haven’t turned the printer on yet. See you tomorrow

Some late info from FERMO NICS 5 Castle Archdale Country Park Saturday 21st October 2017 Last minute information Parking at Marina Carpark; NO toilets here. Nearest toilets at the Castle Courtyard (about 400m) – follow blue and white tapes from Marina. No refreshments available in the Park and no Junior stall so bring your own food and drink. Red and White tapes to Start and Finish (each about 5 minutes walk from Registration) Map/Course Corrections (after maps had been printed) The forest around 2 controls has suffered from wind blow and poor mapping. Don’t forget the NI Colour Series Event at beautiful Castle Archdale, Co Fermanagh on the shores of Lough Erne this Saturday 21 October. Full details are on the FermO website. Remember that a Colour Series Event offers all colours so there is something for all abilities from beginning juniors to experienced seniors: White, Yellow, Orange, Long Orange, Light Green, Green, Blue and Brown all on offer. Meet at the Moira M1 Junction 9 (at the lay-by on the Moira side) at 10.00am on Saturday to share lifts.

This Sunday 8 October our Beat the Street Sunday Afternoon Session returns to East Belfast. Bring your map and card or fob if you have them. If not we’ll have a supply and give simple instruction how to play. All ages welcome, especially families. All children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
