LVO’s AGM at Woodburn

Please do come along to LVO’s Annual General Meeting straight after Saturday’s event at Woodburn. We’re meeting in the Hall after our runs to enjoy Ursula’s wonderful soup, toasties, tea/coffee and sticky buns ahead of the AGM, which will start at 2pm, unless everyone is still lost in the forest. LVO offers help with the cost of Juniors participating in representative events but you’ll need to get your claims for any 2017 trips in now! The end of November is the strict deadline. Club funding for representative events.

This is just a reminder that LVO will help out with your costs if you travel to  a competition for which you have been selected to represent your club or country. The club’s funding policy for Seniors is here. The Junior funding policy is here and also under the Juniors menu. The policies contain details of how you can apply for funding. BOF Membership Fees

Just a reminder that if you wish to submit a proxy vote on the proposals to increase the BOF membership fees and event levy you need to do so by 5pm tomorrow (Thursday  27th Oct). The proposals and voting form are here. For reference, the current BOF membership fee is £5 (which becomes £15 total when the LVO and NIOA membership fees are added). The levy is paid by the club every time you compete and comes out of your entry fee. It is currently £1.25 per Senior, with 3 Juniors counting as one Senior.

Autumn Trophy 3, Hillsborough Forest Park, Saturday 21st November.

I hope you’re looking forward to the final Autumn Trophy event of the year in Hillsborough Forest Park on Saturday 21st November. Autumn Trophy 3 is being run on the terrain used for the Irish Relay Champs in May and we can be sure that Harold White and Richard Williamson will have planned challenging courses that make the best use of this interesting area. Don’t forget that if you were selected to run in an International or Inter-regional event you can claim back some of your expenses from the club.
