The 2015 Roll of Honour is now available in the Roll folder. Follow the links “CONTACT US”>Documents>Public documents>Roll of Honour or use this link. Missing are the Sprint Cup and Autumn Trophy placements – they will be added in once those competitions results have been computed. Let me know of any errors or omissions and please don’t be shy about your own achievements – if they don’t get recorded they will be lost forever!
The year’s colour standard achievement and the history of the same can be found on the web site by following the links “contact us>documents>Public documents>Colour Standards” or by clicking here . In the history listing those folk who have gained their first colour or have improved on their previous are indicated by a capital letter in the 2015 column – congratulations to all of them – keep aiming for a “A”!
It has not proved possible to identify a suitable site for a Night TempO cluster alongside the final WENT on wed 16th so the results published after the PreO and TempO events at Hillsborough are the final standings for 2015. Congratulations to Stephen Gilmore (PreO) and Frazer Howe (TempO) on usurping Declan McGrellis’s double champion standing from 2014. The final standings can be viewed in the IntrO folder here. Mind you, it wasn’t much of a usurp for Declan finished a very close second in both disciplines. My thanks to the small posse of TrailO devotees for making my efforts Read More …
The results of the PreO and TempO competitions and their effect on the respective championships can be found in the IntrO folder The PreO results show that some folk were still too gullible at the first control and fell for the parallel feature ruse, with the kites on a different path from that circled on the map. In the TempO competition everyone still takes a long time trying to relate map to terrain without considering how a rapid answer could serve them better, particularly with the reducing penalty rate. That map/terrain relation was hard to pin down on Saturday, what Read More …
The results from Saturday’s PreO course and their effect on the club championship can be found in the IntrO folder here. Apologies to anyone disappointed by the absence of a TempO cluster; it was as my first customer (Ann Savage) was under the clock that I realised that I had printed the maps with the solutions showing. Shades of last year’s event when I did that to the PreO maps!
The results of the PreO course at Carnfunnock, on 18th October, and its effect on the PreO Championship standings can be viewed in the IntrO folder here The effect of the NISeries event at Castle Saunderson, on 10th October, on the NISeries tables and the Colours of Autumn tables can be viewed here
The IntrO activity on Sunday will be a 4-control PreO course, counting towards the club’s PreO Championship. Start and finish will be at the SW corner of the car park, beside the FootO start. There are a several things to note: The PreO course runs through the FootO terrain, so PreO must be undertaken after your FootO run (does this make it PostO?). The area used has not seen much management since the survey was done so use vegetation boundaries as locators at your peril! The paths haven’t seen much management either but you must take care to stay on Read More …
My planning inspection at Woodburn revealed that the short walk from the parking to the start was through a blasted heath of a felled area – no trailO control sites could be seen, let alone trees! There will therefore be no IntrO activity at Woodburn tomorrow. The results and updated standings from the Lady Dixon PreO are available here   The updated NISeries tables following Portstewart last weekend can be found here  Several classes have already been won after 5 events – congratulations to those highlighted in red!
At next week’s final WEE event in Lady Dixon there will be an IntrO event, counting towards the club PreO Championship. It will be a PreO course of 5 controls (subject to final planning and map refinement) starting and finishing at the picnic area at the north end of the main car park. As it wends its way out into the FootO terrain it must not be taken until after your WEE run. As ever entry is free and it’s open to all. I’ll be at the start and available to help get newcomers started. You can find the current Read More …
