Final NISeries Tables

The final NISeries and Colours of Autumn tables are now available on the NIOrienteering website at “Results>NI Colour Series Leagues” or in the LVO Cloud in the NISeries folder.  Congratulations to all the winners, highlighted in red (except Ben Cairns – I’ve just realised that his name is not highlighted! Correction on its way).  There are some classes without a winner; that’s because no-one gained sufficient results (4 for the NISeries, 2 for the Colours of Autumn).

Autumn Trophy tables published

The final positions in the Autumn Trophy are now available in the “Club Colour Series” folder in the LVO Cloud.  Follow “Contact us>Documents>Public documents”.  The competition is based on place points, with your best (i.e. lowest) two scores to count.  To be considered one has to have recorded 2 finishes in a class – shown by an asterisk against your entry.

TrailO Results

A very small (but elite!) field undertook the challenge of the timed control at Carnfunnock last Saturday.  The results are: Rachel Collins 4 correct: 28secs Gordon Stephens (preO score 6) 4 correct: 43secs Frazer Howe 4 correct 43secs Richard Williamson (preO score 6) 3 correct: 44secs + 60sec penalty = 104secs Cecil Armstrong 2 correct: 86secs + 120sec penalty = 206secs Mark Pruzina (preO score 7) 4 correct: time exceeded = 360secs Three people completed both parts  (Crawfordsburn and Carnfunnock) of the LVO TrailO Championship so it is my pleasure to congratulate Mark Pruzina on becoming the LVO TrailO Champion Read More …

TrailO Champs – finalé

The PreO event at Crawfordsburn 2 weeks ago produced many ties in the results.  To resolve these there will be a timed control at Carnfunnock tomorrow.  This is not confined to the PreO competitors – everyone is free to enter, and it is FREE to enter.  Come along to get your brain cells warmed up before your run, it will only take 5 minutes of your time.  It’s in the walled garden; enter by the gate off the lower car park and follow the signs.  It’s open from 11:30 until 12:45.  I’ll be in the vicinity of the MOO with Read More …

Crawfordsburn TrailO – details

registration – alongside FootO reg; entry fee zero.  Open from 10:30 (or as soon thereafter as I can get the controls out!). map – scale 1:4000, contours 2.5m, drawn to ISSOM2006 with amendment for TrailO in accordance with Section 7 of ISOM2000.  For boulder mapping all dimensions have been considered relevant, not just height. control descriptions – ISCD2004 trail – metalled and gravel paths mapped as double black lines (solid for metalled, dashed for gravel) with brown infill.  Competitors MUST NOT leave the trail.  The optimum route between decision points 2 & 3 involves steps; there is a slightly longer Read More …

Crawfordsburn – Added Value!

There will be a free-to-enter TrailO course available at Saturday’s event.  This will be for the 2017 Club TrailO Championship so, since no FootO Champs have been scheduled in the fixture list, this is your chance to become THE 2017 Club Champ!  The TrailO is to be taken before your FootO run (I don’t want to be collecting controls in the dark!) so come along a little early and have a go – instruction will be available if required.  The trail is 925m with 9 controls.  Technical details later.

Print Services dates – correction

The first vacation period listed should have been Tues 25th to Sun 30th July i.e. next Tuesday.

Map Printing Services resumes

With thanks to the NHS for my physical recovery and to the Club Committee for the (much needed!) hardware and software replacements I am delighted to announce that LVO Map Printing Services is once again on the air BUT holiday plans means that it will have to be suspended between Tues 26th and Sun 30th June and Tues 15th and Sun 27th August, all dates inclusive. If any WEE planners want to make use of the services could you please also specify numbers of maps required? The absence of published results means that I am unable to gauge demand.

Spring Cup Tables available

The Spring Cup tables are now available in the public folder “Club Colour Series”.  The points assigned are place points (ignoring non-members) and it is the lowest two scores which count.
