As many of you will know, over the past few years I have been running a Schools Orienteering Competition in Gosford Forest for students undertaking Orienteering as part of their GCSE PE.
This event, and now Ric’s one in Coleraine are the only events put on specifically for Schools in NI where the correct standards for Assessment are guaranteed because its us as NI Orienteering, and at the same time we try to provide that link between Schools and Clubs that often appears to be missing.
This year’s event in Gosford takes place on Thursday 5th November, but to make it happen I need the help of some wonderful volunteers. So if anyone is available on the morning and early afternoon of that Thursday and could possibly help out it would be most gratefully appreciated. Nothing too onerous; just handing out and collecting dibbers, looking after the Start, and Finish procedures, possibly Download. I’m happy to cover expenses, tea/coffee, & cakes.
If you are free and would like to help out please drop me a line to graeme@landmarkgeomatics.co.uk.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Thanks in advance.
Graeme.
