⏰ We will be holding the LVO AGM in person this year on the afternoon Saturday 9th March.
📍 It will take place in the education room at Gosford Forest Park, immediately after the Club Meet.
📑 Before we meet, we plan to send out the Financial report (thanks to Harry Bell our Treasurer and Alan Gartside who is doing the auditing of the accounts) and my Chairperson’s report. This will allow you time to reflect and maybe prompt questions.
🤸♀️There has been lots happening over the past year to report on. The 5-year Club Strategy has now kicked off, thanks again to you all for feeding into the club strategic plan and supporting it coming to life. So, it would be great if you can join us – please put the date in your diary or calendar 📅
👨👩👧👦It would be great to see a representation from all sections of our club, new members and juniors especially welcome, it will give you an idea of what’s going on and how you can contribute and fit in to the bigger plan.
👏I am standing down from my role as Club Chair this year. This is to allow me to focus on the wider role I have with developing orienteering across the whole province and not just within LVO. I plan to stay on the committee if they will have me. I am extremely grateful for the work and friendship of the committee who do an amazing job, helping LVO thrive. The bimonthly committee meetings are well attended. Between these meetings, subgroups work on certain areas of development and then these subgroups feedback on progress at the meetings. We are always looking for new members to bring fresh ideas and enthusiasm and keep us on our toes. So, if you would like to contribute to the club in a committee capacity or as part of a subgroup, please have a chat with either myself or any committee member.
❤ Each year the club committee make a club donation to charities – we will continue to support the work of the Mountain Rescue Service but we also like to support charities close to our members hearts. If you have any suggestions, please get in touch with a member of committee before Tuesday 27 February.
👍 Can I also encourage you to complete event feedback forms. It would be great if you gave a few minutes and reflected on the events you attended over the past year, the form can be completed at any time and is pretty short.
