A wonderful sunny Autumn day welcomed over one hundred participants at Gosford on Sunday for the second Autumn Trophy event.
This means that LVO members who participated in both the Cairn Wood and Gosford Forest events are eligible to compete for the club’s Autumn Trophy 🏆

👍Thank you to Graeme Francis for planning 4 great courses for us all to enjoy on Sunday. Having mapped and used the park for many training activities, he knows this park better than anyone and he certainly used this knowledge to set very interesting challenges. It was great to see some really competitive runs and also
👍Thanks also to Controller, Michael Burton for looking over and checking the courses beforehand and Ric Gamble as Organiser. Other people we need to thank are Starters, Sarah Gamble, Peter Gamble and Anastasiia Mahlych who also helped collect controls along with Ric and Aileen McCarron. Anthony McGonigle and Norma Rea also supported by filling in for the starters for a short spell which was really helpful. There are also others in the background who you won’t necessarily be aware of who make the whole thing tick, the following are well worth mentioning – Alan Gartside who did the map printing, checks all the results and organises the league tables. ❓We would be very grateful if you could give some feedback on our events. This is to inform us of what’s going well and also what improvements can be made – please can you take a minute or so to reflect on a recent event you have participated in. WENTs – Wednesday Evening Night Training starts on 1st Nov at Ormeau Park and will hopefully run each Wednesday through to 20th Dec.
NICS7 – The next Colour Series event is at Whitespots Country Park, Newtownards on Sat 11 Nov. This is a new map for us all to enjoy.
Club Meet – We are starting up coaching for all ages and abilities mixed with time to socialise afterwards over tea/coffee and a packed lunch. The first Club Meet is at Woodburn Forest, near Carrick on Sat 18 Nov. Register here.
