Autumn Trophy News

🍂AT1 Cain Wood – Sat 9 September

👏Thank you to all those who volunteered to put on an excellent event on Saturday. Special thanks to Organiser, Dan Earnshaw, Planner Alison Collins and Controller Geoffrey Collins. There were others who also helped out in smaller ways such as results download, control collection, setting up and packing away, I saw Colin and Mark involved on the day but maybe others too. Beforehand Alan helped with printing maps and Mark/Sharon with setting up SiEntries too.

🌞All the above efforts and the fantastic weather allowed for a fantastic day exploring the forest for the 78 competitors over the 4 excellent courses.

🏆A reminder that the Autumn Trophy is a club competition based over two events this year. Here are the standings after the first event (ignoring non LVO members):

Well done to all these competitors and the many others who enjoyed their run through this lovely area of woodland.

🍂AT1 Gosford – Sun 22 October

🌳Next up is the fantastic Gosford forest. No better person for planning than Graeme Francis. As mapper of this forest, and organiser of many recent community and schools activities in Gosford, Graeme knows every nook and cranny; this together with his excellent planning pedigree we can fully expect a very interesting run.

💻Details are starting to go up on the LVO website. There will be further information go out when entries go live.

Just a final note to say – To put on an event there are many roles to fill – some require no or very little experience and can be filled by anyone. Offering support really helps the main officials and allows us to put on a varied programme; so if there is an event coming up you feel you can help with, even in a small way, please get in touch with the organiser or myself.

Thanks for all your support!
