😢Juls leaving dos and don’ts

Do you Know? – you probably have heard that, after 6.5 years, Juls has finally [come to her senses / lost her mind]* and is moving on from her Development Officer role with NI Orienteering to working as the Outdoor Development Officer with Mid & East Antrim Borough Council.

Don’t go just yet – although yesterday was Juls’ last day sitting [at her desk in the office / in the back garden in the sun]*, she will be at the Tollymore Festival the weekend of 23-25 June. The whole Orienteering community are hoping to say a proper and heartfelt thank you and best wishes on the Saturday – apparently there is a big club BBQ which she is claiming is her leaving do!

Do get booked in! – if you haven’t already entered for [Juls Leaving Do / Tollymore Festival]* all info on the events/camping and BBQ tickets can be found here.

Don’t panic – initiatives and programmes that Juls has already set in place are still planned to take place. In the interim (until British Orienteering and SportNI have things sorted regarding a replacement), I will be stepping into her role to keep the ball rolling. If you have anything development related, please contact me. I will still be working in my present UK development role up until 1 July, so over next couple of weeks please [bear with me / get frustrated and berate me]* if I don’t act immediately.

[*delete as appropriate]

Hope to see as many as you as possible at the Tollymore Weekend! 🤸‍♀️

Ric
