The tables have been updated following the final colour event of the year, at Learmount, last Saturday. Go to “Resources>OneDrive Public>” then
“Colour Standards>Colour Standards.pdf” to see how you finished the year. The “2022 best” column will be transferred to the history table, the out-of date (over 12 months) results will be removed and, at the turn of the year, the membership status will be updated. The 2-yr lapsed (yellow) will be removed, the 1-yr lapsed (pink) will turn yellow (unless you can persuade them to re-join!) and the unrenewed will turn pink. So get your membership renewal off to BOF asap!
“NI Series>NISeries2022.pdf” shows how you got on over the 7 NI colour events, with your best 4 results to count. Well done to the class winners – LVO won 8 classes against NWOC’s 4; considering the difference in membership numbers that’s a bit disappointing – let’s go for a clean sweep next year!
“hCOW>hCOW2022>” then
“Event13.pdf” for the Learmount results. There was a spread of courses through the table showing that the course planning was to a consistent standard – well done NWOC. There was quite a spread of variance showing that some had a good day whilst others had a stumble.
“Series Table.pdf” for the final hCOw standings. Moiré O’Sullivan’s win was not in doubt but a second place on the day firmly shut the door. (question – does having your name start with “M” (for metronome?) improve your chances of winning hCOW – last year it Mark Pruzina who took the honours?).
“Handicap Table.pdf” will allow you to review your performances over the year and hopefully become more consistent.
“Regatta Table.pdf” shows a late surge by Harry Bell to come top of the tree. I’m delighted that both Regatta and Series tables show the possibilities of competition for the non-elite amongst us – keep plugging away and you might get your name in lights!
One change to hCOW for 2023 is that your end-of-year handicap will be carried forward so the first event will not be for initialising handicaps.
