In the past couple of weeks I’ve made some changes to the LVO website. Hopefully they support a cleaner, clearer and simpler site.
- Now the first link on the home page is to the schedule of ALL BOF registered fixtures in NI (followed by links to fixtures further afield).
- The home page table of upcoming fixtures now includes a link to volunteer to help.
- The heading row of the LVO results table on the home page now includes a link to live results.
- The sidebars have been simplified, largely being replaced by a mini menu “Home | News | Fixtures | Results”.
- The homepage footer of news feeds from NIOA, FERMO and NWOC has been moved to be a sidebar on the News page, bringing all news together.
- The menu was getting rather long so the WEE series and Seven Sevens items have been placed under Fixtures.
- Results for non-LVO events were previously blank, they now refer you to the host’s website.
- The presentation of the Social Media links on the home page have been simplified. It now includes a “follow us on twitter” link.
- I’ve moved the home page “News Headlines” section immediately after the table of recent results.
- A while back, on the home page section “About Orienteering”, I added links to introductory videos about orienteering – they are well worth a look.
- The results page now has results grouped by month and an archive page for 2018.
If you can’t find something on the website there are two things you can try. The first thing is to click “Site Index” in the menu to see the page structure of the website. The second is to use the “Search” bar in the menu.
