Evening Folks. I just wanted to say a large thank you to all the wonderful volunteers who helped out on Wednesday evening: Aileen, Ian, Stephen, Shaun, Susan, Sophie, Steph ( any more s’s?!? ), Mark, and Ben, and a special thanks and apology to Cara who manned the starts all evening without getting a run, because of a no-dog rule that I knew nothing about and take full responsibility for. While I’m apologising, I’d also like to apologise for the delayed start. This was due to having to move all the controls we had set out for a successful school event earlier in the afternoon. Hopefully the enjoyment of the courses made up for this!! We tried something different for this WEE, providing something a little more challenging, and hopefully you all enjoyed it, but I’d love to see some comments good or bad as to whether or not this is something that you’d like us to pursue for future events. And lastly, I’d like to say a very special thank you to Juls, because without her help I wouldn’t have got through either of the events, and you’d probably still be queuing at the start now.
