Sorry about the date mishap – 12 December (next Monday) – hope to see you there
The NIOA Committee invite you to a workshop to be held in the Royal School Dungannon on Monday 12th December starting at 7.30pm. Despite the apparent formality of the invitation, the workshop is for any orienteer, from NIOA or the IOA, who would like to spend a couple of hours developing their understanding of what an Event Controller should (or shouldn’t) do! Have you already been asked to control – or do you think you are going to be? Did you have a good idea of what was being asked of you and were you equipped to meet the requirements? Do you wish that ‘the controller’ at an event you attended had done a better job? If you answer ‘yes’ to any of these questions, then this is a chance for you to explore and improve how we control our events.
Light refreshments will be offered. Please let Philip know via publicity’at’niorienteering.org.uk so that we can bring enough tea, coffee, biscuits etc! Do please find the time to come and share your experiences.
From the motorway exit follow the main road into Dungannon. Go past the main entrance to the school, keep right at the mini roundabout and, after 100m, turn right into the school. Turn right at the buildings and park at the end of the road. The entrance to the workshop will be marked with an orienteering marker.
