The finale of the WENT series will be in Lady Dixon Park (top car park) on Wed 16th December. After 6 rain free (but not entirely dry) Wednesdays, we are all set for the 7th and final WENT for 2015. After last year’s debacle, Santa has briefed his elfs (elves?) very carefully: 15 controls, bonus points available, maybe some Christmas lights and certainly refreshment and prizes afterwards. Hopefully the elfs can be trusted to carry out instructions correctly this year as Santa may be too busy to supervise; whatever the result, a good time is guaranteed for all those that turn up.
As this is the finale, the LVO Catering Corps will be present in force to provide hot chocolate, mince pies and other seasonal goodies. Do please make the effort to come – we will be printing extra maps to cater for a larger than usual turn out. Please let Philip know via the LVO Facebook page or direct (publicity ‘at’ niorienteering.org.uk) if you plan to bring any newcomers or if you are coming but have not been a regular WENTer (just to make sure that we have enough maps).
Meet at 7.15 pm in the top car park, ready for a 7.30 pm mass start. Refreshments will be ready as soon as the 45 minute time limit has passed.
It’s clearly the lager turnout that’s been causing the problem with this annual event. Can we keep the elves off the drink this year?
