More for Scotland 2013

The Scottish Six Day is a great way to meet people of your age, including those from other nations – there are 52 runners in M10 alone for example.

Luke has struck up a chat with a Spanish boy in his age category and met up with a friend from last year’s Welsh Creoso event. Our team has had a demonstration of free running from the lads from Moray Orienteers as well. How cool is that.

On the orienteering front LVO Juniors have has had a steady performance. On day 2 Rachel was doing really well on the 5th control (leading the field) but a slight misreading of the control numbers meant she slipped back. I’ve done it myself and it is an easy error to make so well done to her for sorting it out and carrying on.  Luke has made steady improvements and finished in the top half of his category on Day 3 and Ben has had a splendid competition on M10B, finishing it on his own at age 7. Finally Peter is is a very respectable 4th position after Day 3on the M14B. Today was a day off for the team
