Event Format The Wednesday Evening Event (WEE) Series consists of eight races throughout May and June and some extra ones in August.

The WEE series is a great introduction if you are new to the sport, or a valuable training opportunity if you are already a dab hand. For those who thrive on competition we also have something for you, with the WEE series league table.

There is a Sociable group / family fee, if you are going round a course together, the entry fee is per required number of maps. So, one group entry = one map.

There is no fee to hire an SI card (dibber) if required, but lost cards (dibbers) are charged at £30.

**A family charge is for two seniors and one junior. Additional juniors go free.

Terrain Summary Urban Parkland
Previous Maps/Routegadget Not available as this is a newly mapped area, this is the first club event to use this map.
Course Notes Long Course – approx. 4km

Short Course – approx. 2km

Note: as a result of busy road crossings, under16 juniors are not permitted to complete the long course, without accompaniment by an over16. We are sorry, but this is due to safety, regulations and insurance.

First Aid and Safety Watch out for other park users.

There will be a first aid and a qualified first aider available at registration. Registration is also a safe place for lost children to wait.

Please do not come to the event if you are unwell.

Please bring and carry any medication you might need, especially inhalers and EpiPen’s.

If you come across an injured or ill person, please stop, help and get further help. There will likely be qualified first aiders on the course who can stop to provide support.

All participants must return to download, whether they complete the course or not. This is to account for all competitors, ensuring everyone’s safe return.

Courses will close and controls collected in at 8.30pm sharp. If you are still out on the course at this time return to finish and download immediately.

Kit requirements Full leg cover is recommended to protect against summer growth of briers and nettles.

A waterproof jacket may also be mandatory if the organisers decide the weather requires one, so bring one along just in case.

Dogs are permitted in the carpark and on the course, however common sense control of dogs applies.

Parking Carpark at south end of Ward Park, off the Gransha Road.
Assembly will be adjacent to the carpark.Need a ride to the event? Join our WhatsApp car share group and request a lift (LVO members only).
Toilets
(a) Public WC available at the north end of Ward Park – open till 7 pm.

(b) Public WC available at south-eastern side of Bangor Marina – open till 9 pm.
