| Event Format | LVO invites our junior orienteers to Skills Squad.
Join us for a six-week coaching programme designed to help junior orienteers build confidence and improve their navigation. Each week will focus on a different key skill, with fun, practical activities and challenges to help participants develop their orienteering. Each session will take place on a different area. Sessions are for juniors who are currently, confidently completing TD3 (orange courses) Juniors must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the coaching. |

| Start Times | Arrive 9.45am for registration. Coaching takes place 10.00am to 11.30am, with a chance to catch up with coaches and friends over tea/coffee/squash afterwards. | |
| Price | 💰 Training is free for members of LVO, NIOA and Orienteering Ireland.

| Terrain Summary | Hillsborough Forest Park offers a mix of runnable woodland, paths and tracks, with gently undulating terrain and areas of more detailed contour features.
The area is popular with walkers and runners, and dog walkers so take care and treat others with courtesy. |

| Notes | Groups will be organised into juniors with the same level of technical ability | |
| Kit requirements | 🧥👖 Full body cover is mandatory. If the weather is cold or wet – a waterproof jacket will be mandatory. As well as times of exercise there will be periods of coaching when you will be stationary, so layer up – bring along an extra jumper, a hat and gloves to keep comfortable. There is likely to be a bag drop off point with a coach present or close by. NOTE: the club or coach is not responsible for the safe keeping of the kit, it is dropped off at your own risk, so please leave any valuables in the car. All should carry whistles. | |
