| Notes/Courses | 👨👩👧👦 Enjoy a Valentine Day Special – “Learn How to Score with LVO”. This Club Meet will be a little differnet, starting with a discussion indoor considering strategies for a Score event, in preparation for the NI Score Orienteering Championships on 21 February. We will then have the opportunity to practice with a 45minute score session, returning for a table discussion with coaches over packed lunches. (Remember to bring your lunch!) The day will conclude with the AGM. ⚪🟡 Score orienteering has its challenges for novices, which will be discussed at the briefing. Technical Difficulty (TD) 1 and 2 (White and Yellow) will be able to be accompanies by a coach in a group. Suitable for P4 children and above and adult newcomers who want a gentle introduction to orienteering. 🟠 TD 3 (Orange) Again score orienteering has its challenges, which will be discussed so improvers will have the option to buddy up. Courses use basic use of a compass and route choice. Ideal for novice orienteers or young juniors with experience (ideally aged 10 and above). 🟢🔵🟤 TD4 and 5 (Lt Green, Green, Blue and Brown) Challenging navigation with route choice and using more contour and point features suitable for experienced juniors and adults. |
